Hangover Shrimp
Believe it or not
"The best cure for a hangover is to not drink"
...so said my grandmother many times, normally after a party. This recipe is very tasty and a remedy said to cure hangovers. Well, I don't know about that, I think just eating helps but this is a sure way to cook up some shrimp that will keep everyone feeling great.
And for those of you wondering - no, I do not have a hangover; it is Wednesday for goodness sake.
1 -32 ounce can V-8 juice
1 bottled beer (what ever you have left from the previous night)
3 to 6 jalapeno or habanero peppers, halved
1 large onion, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
2 garlic toes, chopped
3 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Add shrimp, stir and remove from heat.
Cover and let stand about 20 minutes to steep.
Drain well and serve warm or layer shrimp with ice to chill.
Serve with a trio of sauces, like the ones below, with plenty of lime and lemon wedges, and with lots of crackers.
Creole Remoulade Sauce
Tabasco Cocktail Sauce
Louis Sauce
Shrimps again....me drooling again!!! I don't need a hangover cure but will eat the whole plate anyway :D

Huge fan of shrimp, love this idea. Though, the best cure I've found for a hangover is a big bottle of Gatorade.
